What is RSS?

The RSS feed of recent News & Events articles helps you keep up-to-date with the latest news from Sidec Technologies. It also makes news syndication by news agencies, organizations and individuals easy, enabling the company to reach a larger audience.

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is, as defined by Webreference.com ...

"... a lightweight XML format designed for sharing headlines and other Web content. Originated by UserLand in 1997 and subsequently used by Netscape to fill channels for Netcenter, RSS has evolved into a popular means of sharing content between sites (including the BBC, CNET, CNN, Disney, Forbes, Motley Fool, Wired, Red Herring, Salon, Slashdot, ZDNet, and more)."
The Mozilla Firefox web browser and the Mozilla Thunderbird mail/news reader can handle RSS feeds out-of-the-box. There are also a large number of dedicated RSS readers ("aggregators") available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
